For my July requests, I went very Boho meets boyfriend style. I was looking for boyfriend jeans, a button down long sleeved shirt, loose t-shirts, a tunic dress, etc. Really I was on the hunt for something that could be worn comfortably on the weekends, but that could also be dressed up with a blazer or some cute heels for work. I have been going through a really big closet purge, leaving room for some staples that can do the dress up/down double duty.
Kristen M. is still my Fixer and her note read:
“Hi Kristin, happy summer! I’m so excited your last Fix was such a hit, I can’t wait to see the pictures up on your blog! I saw your requests for this Fix and did my best to find pieces you will love! First I pulled the Skies are Blue ombre chambray cotton top. It’s an edgy take on a classic but still fun and versatile for your closet. Wear it with the Kut from Kloth boyfriend jeans for an on-trend all denim look or you can wear it with your jogger pants for a super casual outfit. The RD Style tie waist cotton top was another piece that would be great in the summer and pair perfectly with the boyfriend jeans. Just throw on your necklace from last time for a touch of bling. I also thought you would love this light grey Pixley fringe detail top to wear with jeans or capris this season. Enjoy! Xo, Kristin M.”
Can I just say that I love that Kristen has been my stylist the entire time I have been with Stitch Fix, and is able to suggest pieces I have already purchased to go with the new pieces she sends!
Glennis Ombre Top – $58

This top is so spot on! Stylish and comfy, a fun take on the traditional (like Kristen said), and a great fit. It is 100% Cotton and machine washable and I can think of 1,001 things in my closet that it would go great with! The down side?? I already have a chambray shirt that is an absolute fave. Because of that, I couldn’t justify (sadly) the $58 for another.
Verdict- Returned
Lucasta Knit Top – $38 & Kate Distressed Boyfriend Jean – $78

Both of these pieces are exactly my style! Distressed jeans in a perfect fit? Yes please! Comfortable stripes with a pop of color? Yep! Seriously…the top is super soft and is completely ready for a day out with the kiddos (like above) OR for a cute blazer and some heels for a day at the office. The jeans are Cotton with a touch of Spandex and machine washable, while the top is a Rayon/Polyester blend that can be hand washed.
Verdict- Kept & Kept
Amine Fringe Detail Knit Top – $58

Well I know Kristen had the very best of intentions on this one. Unfortunately, it is not really my cup of tea. The 100% Cotton material feels like a short-sleeve sweatshirt, which doesn’t sound appealing to me in the summer months. It also fell a little shorter than I would like for a t-shirt, just barely going below my jean waist.
Verdict- Returned
Striver Tie Waist Top – $68

This top is cute- definitely different than anything I own. It is pretty shear, meaning a cami would likely be the solution for me. It doesn’t have much shape (as is the style) but stills hangs and wears really well. I liked it (especially with the Kate Distressed Boyfriend Jeans and a pair of cute wedges) but not enough to justify the price. I just can’t see myself wearing it enough.
Verdict- Returned
Stay tuned for August’s Fix! If you have any suggestions, I am always ready to try new styles!!
A note about Stitch Fix:
It’s a super easy to use service…you fill out a style profile, choose the prices you would be willing to pay per each item type, and decide how often you want to get styled. You have the option of setting up your own Stitch Fix Pinterest board that your stylist can look at while styling you. A stylist from Stitch Fix will then be your own personal stylist for however often you choose to receive a box, sending you 5 items based on your style profile, Pinterest board, and personal instructions. If you purchase an item, the $20 service fee goes towards it, if you keep all 5 items, they take 25% off, or you can send all the items back and they only keep the $20.
Check out my “fix” above and (stay tuned for future “fixes”), if you are thinking about trying your own “fix”, use this link https://www.stitchfix.com/referral/6200951 (Note: I will get a credit on a future “fix” if you sign up and will thank you tremendously!!)

Love the items that you kept!!
